Belly bomb

Along with shouting out "Hi!" to your friend Jack, another good thing never to say at an airport -- "I have a bomb in my belly":

 Police at Indianapolis International Airport arrested a man Monday who claimed to have a bomb inside his stomach.

Airport police said in a report that Rarey wasn't under the influence of alcohol or drugs but was apparently perturbed that he was chosen for extra screening at a checkpoint.

The threat happened at 1:30 p.m. when Rarey was asked by a Transportation Safety Administration officer to go through extra screening. Rarey asked the officer what that meant. The officer told him, and Rarey patted his stomach and said, 'This is a bomb."

 

Rarey told police he said he had "a bomb in my belly" and then said he had realized he had made a mistake.

Ah, when humor bombs. When a simple jest blows up in your face. When you find a screener with a short fuse.
