Big spender

Thank God there isn't a Democrat in the White House yet to irresponsibly increase the size of government and the spending needed to sustain it:

Bush, who was the first president to propose a $2 trillion budget, back in 2002, will leave office as the first president to hit $3 trillion with a spending plan.

From "What's a trillion"

If you had gone into business on the day Jesus was born, and your business lost a million dollars a day, day in and day out, 365 days a year, it would have taken you until October 2737 to lose a trillion dollars.

The U.S. Congress has done seven times this damage to their constituents in a little over eighteen years!

Interesting, since The only two recent presidents who actually reduced the size of government were not Republicans. And Two recent presidents who presided over then record deficits were both republicans. The recent president that presided over one of the biggest tax increases in history was also a republican, who had just told every one to read his lips. Enough with the party of fiscal responsibility already - its a total lie. At least with democrats they tell you up front they might increase taxes or government, republican on the other hand tell you they won't and then do it anyway.

As the saying goes, republicans run on a "govt is incompetent" platform, get elected and proceed to confirm it
