Cheri's call

Hmmmn:

Story after story about Daniels' national plans reads that an impediment to the Hoosier State governor's success in a GOP presidential primary is that he sports a 5'7" frame, a receding hairline, and a spouse with no stomach for a national campaign. The first two observations are undeniable, albeit of dubious relevance. And the third may prove to be a myth, one that overlooks a steady rise in Mrs. Daniels' profile over the past year - and evidence that she appears to be steeling herself for the rigors and scrutiny of a presidential campaign.

A closer look suggests that Mrs. Daniels has been preparing for months, a change in the winds noticed so far mainly by observant Republican operatives in Indiana.

Don't know what it means; just interesting, that's all.

Unfortunately for Daniels, his height, at least, may be significant. As you know, the taller presidential candidate generally wins.
I've seen Daniels close up, and if he's an inch over 5-4 in his bare feet, I'll eat my hat. Of course, I wear a hat made of luncheon meat, so it's no big deal.

Mitch claims to be 5' 7", but I think he might even look have to look up at Sarah Palin if she wears heels. Sarah is probably about 5' 5".

You can be the judge.

Height and hair difficulty are not on my list of requirements for president. Support of a spouse is important in that unity would not detract from making decisions.

I hope Daniels does not run. His opinion and statements that Indiana has balanced budgets is just plain wrong. Anyone in politics who thinks a balanced budget is denying the more than $2 billion short fall in unemployment insurance fund, unfunded teachers, fire and police pensions to name a few constitute
