* The Komets are starting informal preseason skating today at Canlan from 10-11 a.m. The sessions are open to the public. They'll be going Monday through Thursday until training camp starts.
* A couple of long-time bloggers who do not wish to be identified are having some health problems and could use some prayers. When you don't think there's anything you can do, you can always pray. There have been quite a few examples on here over the past few years where it has worked.
* I'm still looking for any original and current season-ticket holders if you know of anyone. So far, bloggers have found three for me.

Brent Henley is being hired as a special consultant to Dave Franke. If bloggers start the "wait til Christmas" crap. Henley is coming to your home and yanking your interwebs through the wall.

I'll save my "Wait til Christmas" comment until I see this team play. I'm tired of crapping on them for last year. The ownership on the other hand.....
Plane carrying KHL team crashes...
Pavel Demitraand Ruslan Salei played for that team on the plane... Brad McCrimmon was the coach...
Wow, RIP.....
Anyone interested in Russian hockey should read a book called "King of Russia". It's all about Dave King as the first Canadian coach in the Superleague where he worked for the same team that spawned Evgeni Malkin before coming to the NHL. Offers a lot of insight to how the Russians operate, and the challenges of travel in the Russian frontier.

APOD's Russian DMan Friend
Boucher, Larry Sterling
Larry Sterling signed in the ECHL. And I don't think he qualifies as the young guy the K's are looking to groom for the future
Komets have not talked to Brent Henley recently and aren't sure where he's going to play this season.
Was joking about LS.
But maybe Pokey is available?
Fair enough. Many people have been bringing his name up this summer, and personally, I think he's a downgrade. Never got it down against us and had a poor season last year
He is only good in FW so long as he is playing against us....
Meaning, best scenario is him playing for Dayton or Evansville that way we get alot of entertainment for those boring games after 20 times playing them and We own Larry.
