Death with dignity

Now we know -- the fussbudget rulemongers will follow us to the grave:

People in Michigan City are growing frustrated over updated cemetery rules.

The cemetery board recently approved the rules to crack down on over-decorating problems.

[. . .]

After losing her daughter and grandson, Jean Hoopingarner finds comfort in decorating their graves.

“I've kept wind chimes there and on their birthdays I'd bring balloons for them,” said Hoopingarner.

But she's no longer allowed to do that.

“Things were getting, for better terminology, out of hand,” said Greenwood Cemetery Board President, Duane Mertl.

Can't keep letting that overdecorating get out of hand. First thing you know, there goes the neighborhood, and then the lower-class trashy set will start moving in.
