Discriminating drinkers

And I thought Indiana's alcohol laws were convoluted:

The state Senate's Law and Justice Committee is trying to liberalize beer sales in Pennsylvania.

Today it approved House Bill 1420, which would permit beer distributors to sell one, two or three six-packs of beer at a time. Currently, distributors can only sell full cases of either 24 or 30 cans.

[.  .  .]

Sen. Sean Logan, D-Monroeville, said one advantage in letting distributors sell as little as one six-pack is that consumers can try new beers without having to buy a full case.

"If you buy a case of something now and you don't like it, you drink the first can of beer and are stuck with 23 cans you have to give away,'' he said.

Oh, yes, I am sure we all know lots of beer drinkers who disliked that first can and went looking to give the other 23 away. Rats! I wanted "more taste" and got "less filling." Take this  swill off my hands.

What a crock of horse hockey!!!

A state senator from MONROEVILLE?
He probably doesn't even drink beer!

That's out in the boonies anyway, and not near any major city in PA.

AT least they're not trying to screw the the STATE STORES (liquor)...yet.

Then again, there IS always NEW JERSEY.
(been there, done that...just don't get caught bringing it across the bridges into PA...btw, I never had that problem)

;)
