Don't sweat the small stuff

Dang, sorry I missed this. Bars here have such tame stuff:

The liquor license for a Canton business will be suspended for 60 days because two women wrestled topless at a recent "midget wrestling event."

The penalty is substantial, Mayor Kevin Meade said after the city liquor commission voted unanimously Wednesday to suspend the license for Outskirts Bar and Grill at 725 W. Locust St.

"It's meant to send a message to other businesses in town that this won't be tolerated," Meade said.

When I came across the story, I was prepared to rail against political correctness. When I lived in Michigan City, I was always reading about bars in Chicago doing stuff like midget tossing and midget bowling. Good fun for all. But it turns out officials were just miffed because of the "topless" part. Mixing nudity and alcohol not a good idea? Who knew?
