Opening Arguments

Down to the wire

These seem to be our choices for president:

"I have served this country honorably -- how dare you criticize a former P.O.W."

"I am your hope for change -- just keep fainting and don't ever ask for specifics."

Of course, some believe that "Pay no attention to that man behind the curtain" will mount a comeback, but it's probably time to close that particular barn door.

I'll grant you, the choices are less than stellar this time around, but anybody that thinks "The Messiah" or "The Glacier" is their candidate had better ask themselves two very simple but important questions:

1. Do I really want MORE money taken out of my paycheck?

2. Do I really want to pay for my neighbors health insurance premiums?

Both are an absolute done deal with the Dems, but at least with McVain we have 50/50 shot at keeping SOME of our dough.

Tim:
Sadly, if the FEDS aren't going to be taking our dough, rest asured some LOCALS will...it's one of those "Laws of Inevitability".

Now I just had a great thought - how about all you who voted for Bush have to pay for the deficit? A Bush tax on republicans what a great idea!

Why do liberals always assume the "defecit" must be paid off in full today?
