I could explain it but I would need charts, graphs and an easel, the good news, we are 1 game away from .500

Why does Al Sims have a losing record as a head coach in the CHL? Can anyone answer that with a legitimate reason other than your own speculation? IMO it's a pretty straight forward answer, he simply cannot coach in this league. Not sure why. Don't care what his 'track record' is. Does not matter. Just because a guy has "proven himself" in other leagues doesn't give him a pass. "Hey you totally suck coaching in this league, but it's ok because you have better records in other leagues" That logic is the definition of absurd. Hopefully he has learned by now after six years coaching in this league. I mean my god, how much time does the dude need? I guess we'll see how serious management is about their comments about 'changing' if our woes continue on from last season. (Fustration setting in - and it's only 1 game!!)

Did they not win a playoff round last year? Fort Wayne fans are spoiled. Sorry but it is true. If it is cup or failure then you are going to be unhappy more years than not. They had an incredible 3 year run and really a great run over the last 10 years.
The Komets were a flawed team last year. Your captain was a -4 in the playoffs, Patrosso and Lardner a combined -10 and they still managed to find a way to win a round. It was not a vintage Komets season but they managed to be competitive.
Can Sims coach in this league? Of course. To think otherwise is "absurd". Is he the right coach for this team as it is constructed? Time will tell.

Snuff, put the orange Kool-Aid down and back away lol... Yes, it's one game. And only time will tell if it changes. I'm not choosing to be disappointed about what I think the rest of the season will be. I'm disappointed that last season continued into this year. Even if just for one game. The lazy, entitled vet effort that Franke stated like a broken record would be gone was back for the opener. He made a nice effort to build a good team but he can't go out and skate for these guys too. They may very well turn it around. And I hope they do. But, for now, I'm gonna gripe about the effort. Not the loss. But, the effort. Losses are so much easier to swallow when you feel as if the best effort was left on the ice. Saturday, it certainly was not.

Jeremy I hear you....
As far as the youth goes I don't think it was lack of effort. I think it was nerves and inexperience and that will improve.
As far as the vets go... the stats speak for themselves. There was no finish, poor defensive zone positioning which the +/- stats show and Boucher looked very slow on a couple of the goals. But you can't expect the vets to be on their game while the youth are playing hot potato with the puck. Gripe away. If nothing changes by game 10 I'll join you.
