Flying his flag

Another brave American takes on the despicable neighborhood-association tyrants:

World War II veteran Robert Goergen knows he's breaking the rules at his home in Lino Lakes, yet he vows to fight for his right to fly his beloved United States flag as it was meant to be flown -- high and free in the wind.

At issue is the placement of a 15-foot flagpole that Goegen planted outside his condominium. Condo managers say the flag is flying on land that belongs to the association, not to him, and they're demanding that he remove the pole and fly the flag according to regulations.

Do these people just not read what they're agreeing to before entering into a contract? Or do they figure they can just pick & choose the rules they like?

Sooooo.... flying an AMERICAN FLAG...on AMERICAN soil....for the purpose of acknowledging one's patriotism is bad.....HOW?

The association should be flying the flag themselves (if they even gave a damn about THEIR freedoms and liberties).

Leave it to a guy named Bob to get bashed for doing the right thing...AGAIN...!

Ah, but this fellow did exercise his liberties -- His liberty to contract. He contracted not to fly flags on the property. Now he's trying to welsh on the deal.

Personally I would never live anywhere I wasn't allowed to fly a flag.
