Goodbye, Gary?

Quicher whining, Gary, and learn how to cope with the property tax caps:

Indiana Gov. Mitch Daniels wants struggling cities like Gary to consider merging with other local governments to become more efficient and reduce costs.

I dunno. Gary is pretty much the poorest excuse for a major city in the country. Instead of finding more efficiency by merging with other local governments, it's more likely to bring them down to its level. Oh, wait. I just a fabulous idea. Gary should merge with Merrillville, and we could call it -- wait for it, it's coming -- Gary Merrill. He's been dead for nearly 20 years, so he won't mind.

Leo:
It's just part of the "we're ALL winners" mentality...the same mindset that would like to see ALL students performing EQUALLY...no matter how far DOWN you bring those (nasty) GOOD students to make the BAD ones look better...

Yeah, No City Left Behind...
Sounds like a PLAN.
(albeit another really BAD one)

And all to familiar in concept.

Couldn't we just "give" Gary to Illinois?
