Opening Arguments

Got a crush on you

For the "It's a sick world" file. The Supreme Court is hearing arguments on an important First Amendment case involving graphic videos depicting pit bull fights and other acts of animal cruelty. One side said the challenged law in question is aimed at treating animal cruelty like child pornography, not entitled to constitutional protection. The other side says the government should not be able to punish anyone for making films that are not obscene, inflammatory or untruthful. This was what grabbed me, in the last paragraph:

When Congress passed the law and then-President Bill Clinton signed it in 1999, lawmakers were especially interested in limiting Internet sales of so-called crush videos, which appeal to a certain sexual fetish by showing women crushing to death small animals with their bare feet or high-heeled shoes.

Eeeuw. I used to think I might be thought of as deranged because I liked to hear women talk dirty while they smoked cigare

Billboards?
BILLBOARDS???

WTH is wrong here?
That internet crap really DOES have to go...ranks right "down" there with calling a crucifix in a jar of urine..."art".

But, I suppose that's what happens when you release a technological tsunami into a pack of humans without teaching them HOW to PROPERLY use it.

(that, and never thinkiing like the person who can subvert that tech, in order to prevent events like you mention in the post)

How about Lauren Bacall having a smoke while "teaching" you how to WHISTLE (put your lips together...and blow)...dirty enough?

;)
