Opening Arguments

Ha, ha, I'm in big trouble

Ecclesiastes 3 doesn't mention this specifically, but since it does say "to every thing there is a season," it can reasonably be inferred: A time to be funny and a time to keep your trap shut:

A man who police said struck an officer with his pickup truck outside Indianapolis Motor Speedway after the Brickyard 400 was arrested after officers determined that he had been drinking.

Indianapolis police said Richard Rawley, 59, faces a felony charge of operating a vehicle while intoxicated causing serious bodily injury and operating a vehicle while intoxicated, a misdemeanor.

According to a police report, Rawley joked with an officer that he "stopped counting after college" when asked how many drinks he had that day, later admitting he had several beers.

Bet this guy starts counting again. I have a friend who jokes about saying, if she's ever stopped by police, "You don't have to look in the trunk, do you?" but I think she's smart enough to not actually do it.

Asking any officer a question like THAT comes under the REASONABLE SUSPICION realm of legal search (and possible seizure).
Bet your friend might want to take that under advisement

She could always buy one of those "fake legs" and hang that from the trunk...good for a giggle, right?

Well, kudos to guy, at least, for not uttering that old standby 'two'.
