Have you heard about these two Purdue guys?
Each week, Brett Westcott, a student in the College of Engineering from Plainfield, Ill., and Cameron Brown, a student in the Krannert School of Management from Toledo, Ohio, shout out compliments to everyone who walks by from 12:30-2 p.m. Westcott and Brown, both sophomores, say they do it just for fun and enjoy the positive reaction they get from passersby.
So, just random compliments thrown out to the crowd, once a week, with no real substance behind them. Hurried words of praise that may or may not be deserved. And I'll bet you're thinking, "This is supposed to make the world a better place?" Oh, you cynic, you. Oprah knows better. She's having them on her show so the word can be spread! Before long, we won't be able to step out of the front door without a horde well-wishers shouting at us.
By the way, have a nice day! If everything sucks from here on out, don't blame me.

Sorry, Leo...I'm giving these guys a pass...
I'm still waiting to hear about that Purdue professor that's been working on that WATER ENGINE...
Now HE'S got the right idea.
Remember the ubiquitous "Be seeing you!" from Patrick McGoohan's "The Prisoner?" No? What about the First Sergeant in "We Were Soldiers" asking the perky young "new guy" how the hell he knows what kind of day it is? Yeah, well, I also prefer music in minor keys, so reckon I forgot today's dose of Soma.
Michael:
"The Prisoner" - Something we have in common...got ALL the eps on tape (remember that medium?) as well as the companion book.
Fantastic series!
"We Were Soldiers"...great movie - good quote!
(time to play Bach's Tocatta & Fugue...in D "MINOR"...lol)
