Opening Arguments

Just shoot us

God, we are pigs, aren't we?

Contending that women have more options than they do in the event of an unintended pregnancy, men's rights activists are mounting a long shot legal campaign aimed at giving them the chance to opt out of financial responsibility for raising a child.

[. . .]

The gist of the argument: If a pregnant woman can choose among abortion, adoption or raising a child, a man involved in an unintended pregnancy should have the choice of declining the financial responsibilities of fatherhood. The activists involved hope to spark discussion even if they lose.

Men need "activists" now? Do the crime, pal, do the time, and pay the money. And stay away from the kid; you're not exactly a role model.

Enslaving men for 18-22 years when women can't even be compelled for nine months is blatantly unjust. As long as women are allowed to decide on abortion justice demands that men be able to opt out of child support.

No men don't need activists, but the abortion laws are blatantly unfair. They are most unfair to the baby! It stands to reason that if the mother has 3 or 4 months to decide to kill the baby for whatever reason, then the father should have an equal amount of time to do the same. Why is that gross and disgusting? It is gross and disgusting. "Do the crime, do the time" should apply to both parents. If you've concieved a child you have a responsibility. Lots of responsibilties are thrust upon us by our lusts, circumstances, or bad choices. While we might wish for better circumstances, it just isn't always the case.
