I said a while back that 1 player was not coming to camp. I let Blake & co. break the players name.With his shoulder deal not sure if he would of made it all year long.

Exactly on anyone who said to relax your whine. Everyone on here who whined about Bennefield is worse of a character than the one they have pointed out! Great, now I'm whining. For the love, everyone, if you want goals and grit, then sit back and let the team congeal in a positive environment. We're making Rapid City fans look better. Bennefield is a top 5 acquisition and will prove it.

Congeal in a positive environment? So the fans are to blame for last years mess? Lol.. Fools, want a high end CHL product for AHL prices...

I guess Im lost as to how what is said on here would have any effect on a positive environment to congeal in. The players and owners are above ever checking this blog and have no reason to, right? I know I've read that somewhere several times, so what does it hurt for people to air their opinions?

Personally, I'M excited for Benny and hope he does well here.

The negativity drives the numbers way down on the blog. There's a reason why so many people who used to post don't any more. When five or six people dominate EVERY discussion, more and more people figure it's not worth the hassle to post. A lot of them email me to explain, but I understand totally.

I say we drop the handles and use our real name like Schebig does.

I guess I misunderstood orange_koolaid'S post. I thought he was referring to the players' environment, not this blog environment. I was comparing apples to oranges. My mistake.

I disagree alot with several who post here; but I would never tell them to stop posting or discussing their opinion. This is an opinion driven hockey blog. TailingtheKomets, not TailingonlythepositivesabouttheKomets....

If you are the type of person that believes everyone deserves a trophy, everyone makes the team, nobody needs to face adversity or reality, then start a blog about T-Ball....

I guess this could be like the other local blog that gets 6 comments per topic and a few hundred views instead of 50-200 comments and thousands of views on a good or hotly debated topic likle we get often around here....

No, but JR there used to be a lot more kids who posted on here, and that hasn't happened for a while. Just as some are most positive, there are those who are much more negative, yourself included. Hate to see what this place would be like if the Komets were as bad as say Quad City or Bloomington over the past 10 years. Some of you have no perspective or expect to win 50 games every season. Life ain't that easy.

If we were Quad City or Bloomington, you wouldn't have a job and there would be no blog.

I don't hero worship...

I have my opinion, label them negative or positive, I don't care and I have zero problems if other fans don't agree and are vocal in doing so.

I always love how the NEGATIVE CARD gets played....then a post like Canucks comes....attacking the other bloggers in a negative way......so who is the negative ones again?

There was a nice discussion going on here about the trade and how some disliked it because Jesse has been a thorn in our side and some will have trouble cheering a guy they loved to hassle and Boo.

And others....ME......likes the trade because it definitely gives us a Sniper Stand in Front of the Net and Score 35 goals type of player that we all were begging for.

You can't please everyone.

My suggestion....keep it civil, light, friendly, respectful, joke around....

Don't attack.

Discuss, debate, talk, type, talk about lollipop flavors, Foo Foos, Advertising for your business, Which player is the cutest, Red Headed Hockey Chicks, Unicorns.....whatever you want.

No one should be told not to post, and if there needs to be a special blog for the Soccer Crowd.....

Reality is owning the franchise. Reality is ability with which you dont have and thus you vent behind a computer screen. If anyone has ever been a leader you should know what im talking about. Everyone, even myself, if you provide a negative then how do you expect a positive? Negativity is one sided, and should have a balance to allow growth. Theres where a positive should come. With the turn-over we had, the organization trust an ephinany the player(s) felt after a bad season. The organization used a cost/benefit matrix and here we are. They're here, for training camp that is. 20 games in, provided they made "the cut", then analyze and blast away. They deserve it and this time in a respectable, mutual way. A way where your negativity can be passed as "constructive" criticism. Negativity should be timely. The players arent robots, they have feelings too and feel what you write. Pump them up, not deflate before they even get a chance. This is, men and woman of all ages, REALITY. xoxo, life coach.

orange_koolaid: The players and owners do not read what is written on here. "Why would they?" Therefore, until we are in the stands yelling during games, there is no way for us to inflate or deflate them. This site has no effect whatsoever on the players or owners.

Thinking that Bennefield was a +31 last season and was also #12 scorer in the league. I can cheer for that! The Komets have now got a big scorer and someone who is willing to stand in front of the net. Call me happy!
