A little face time

I swear to God Stonehenge, this is getting ridiculous:

For the second day in a row, a Hanover Central High School freshman came to school with pagan symbols sketched on her face and was sent home by school officials.

Hanover Superintendent Michael Livovich said the symbols on the girl's face are disruptive to the educational process, and she will be sent home each day if she refuses to wash them off.

[. . .]

Holeman's father, Andy Pecenka, said he and his wife, Sharene, will talk to a lawyer regarding their daughter's rights. He said she has been a practicing pagan for three or four years and being sent home compromises her religious freedoms.

If I were running a school today, I think I'd consider it grounds for expulsion if a parent even mentioned "student rights." Oh, and the Order of Bards, Ovates and Druids that this family belongs to has been a pioneer in "distance-learning education in Druidry." Ought to let the girl go home and avail herself of some of it.

careful what you say about druids- the ancient religion of the Irish, and English-

Someone might invoke Merlin, and put a pox upon your privates.
Or worse, still , the ADDL(anti-druid-defamation league) will call al sharpton, and bring down the wrath of the political correctness police.

Freedom of religion means all religions, and an affront against one is an affront against all- pagan, druid, jew, islamic, etc.
If the school said anything about an islamic student, there would be a fatwa issued, and terrible things would happen.
why not just let the girl where her inverted cross, whatever, and ignore her.
heaven forbid that any overt acts of paganism were to happen at EACS! EEEKS!
be nice to non-conformists. give them attention. ask them what they are about. once they are accepted, it wont be any fun, and they will find something elst to "non-conform " about..?

I'm curious as to why she had to wear a pentgram on her cheek? I'm pagan ...but am i missing something? that said do they force children to remove the silly looking dirty ash from their heads on ash Wednesday as well at this school?
