With all the important news today about Afghanistan and health care and Tiger Woods, here's a little story you might not have noticed:
PARIS - The Iraqi journalist who threw his shoes at former U.S. President George W. Bush has himself become the target of a shoe thrower.
While speaking at a press conference in Paris on Tuesday, Muntadhar al-Zeidi, was nearly hit in the face by a shoe thrown by what appeared to be another Iraqi man.
Commotion broke out inside the press center as the brother of Muntadhar, Maiytham al-Zeidi, took off his own shoe and charged the man.
The story says he shrugged off the incident, but pointed out that he threw his shoe "against the occupation" and not at a "fellow citizen," who, by the way stole "his technique." Maybe he should seek legal protection for his "technique." Then he could have -- wait for it, you know it's coming -- patented leather shoes.

Watch your tongue! Don't be a heel. You're not the sole voice on this blog, although you have the upper hand. Mind if I horn in? This is getting knotty, especially for a loafer like me.
I got a million of 'em.
I'll be here all week. Be sure to tip your veal, and enjoy your waitress!
