Opening Arguments

Lookee, I am soooo h

Aha, an explanation perhaps for the bizarre behavior of Anthony Weiner:

MIDDLE-aged men are being chased so much by single women that they are becoming deluded about their sex appeal.

A drought of mid-40s single men, compared with single women of the same age, means they are fiercely pursued, inflating their opinion of their attractiveness.

KPMG demographer Bernard Salt, author of The Big Tilt: What Happens When Boomers Bust and Xers and Ys Inherit the Earth, says the imbalance has created a monster he dubs the "hotness delusion syndrome".

Yeah, I know, it says mid-40s single men, but I think the delusion might be catchable by a married man, especially one married to a Hillary Clinton protege and of the opinion that women are dying to see his junk. What is it with that partciluar delusion, by the way? Anthony? Bret? Anyone?

Jonathan Capehart offered his own theory today at the Washington Post website, basically suggesting Weiner intended the photos to be sent to his wife to show how much he misses her.
Sounds like nonsense to me. Capehart, who is openly gay, obviously knows nothing about relations between men and their wives.
I have no theory; it's all so weird. But I figure it's really none of my business.
Back in my single days, during the Polaroid camera era, my girlfriends and I did even stupider things. Of course back then there were no electronic media available so this sort of embarrassment rarely extended beyond a few friends.

Weiner has been married less than a year. It could be meant for his wife.

Much has been made of the fact that Weiner couldn't identify the picture, meaning that either he doesn't want to admit recognizing it, or else he has too many pictures in his undies to remember them all.

I told the B.W. that maybe the pic was of me. The penis size is similar, but the shorts don't look right. Mine are gray, but the ones in the pic look like they were not initially white. She responded with a nasty crack, something about the photo being "an enlargement".
