I don't think the reference of a "casual fan" came from Andrea. I think someone posted that phrase in response to one of her entries and she challenged that person to define a "casual fan". Oh well, everything looks brighter this morning for Komet fans and the team.
Is this seriously an argument on here? FW didn't "attack" anyone. Did he/she even mention any names? He/she (OK, I don't know if FW is a guy or a girl so from here on out I'll use the male gender until I'm corrected. I apologize in advance if I'm wrong) asks a question and is having fun with chatting on here and has people go after him. At least Alan saw that he took it wrong and replied to that effect instead of beating a dead horse and I couldn't agree with him more. You cannot hear tone of voice or see any expressions or body language on here and it's easy to take things wrong. I have made the mistake many times and have often had to eat my foot for it. This is a blog, not life and death. (Insert Dshebig's "right to speak your thoughts" speech here).
Chuckitt, there were people making fun of others on here on the topic of whether to keep Bertram or not and the comment was made to many bloggers against keeping him that they were "casual" fans who didn't know hockey and how much they were annoying those who knew what they were watching. I assume that is what FW's comment was about. It wasn't offensive at all. He was having fun with someone who made fun of him. Alan, can I have the name of your publisher, I'm writing more books than you lately ;) On to another post, I think there is hockey around here somewhere........

And just to be clear, I really am not worried about who brought out the "casual fans" thing. They had the right to say it and a few of us had fun with it. I'll be the first to admit I don't know as much about hockey as many of the people who contribute on here, that's why I come on here, to learn. Occasionally I have fun with it, and then get chastised for making a reference to me and another blogger being made fun of to laugh it off. I don't get it, but on to the next. GO KOMETS!!
In defense of Chuckitt-- I think he missed all of that exchange last summer. Lets just cut him a little slack. He is a great guy. I will attest. If you knew him you would all like him. Please just trust me on this. Thanks!
I think everybody on here should be considered "great people". To Frozen Water, you keep posting. Don't stop. You keep expressing your thoughts whether people agree or not......to RunningKomet, yes, your posts are getting longer. I don't mind, though. They are worth reading.....and to Dschebig, I've never met you, but I believe you to be a kind and thoughtful man.

Dschebig: I have no doubt each blogger on here is a great person. I think most are, which is why I wasn't "attacking" anyone. And I'm glad you agree with me that he probably missed the entire exchange and is talking about something he doesn't know about, which is what a lot of US (myself definitely included) do on here. It's a fun thing to do, especially when eventually you get to see what really happens and most of the time find out why those things happened later. It's like predicting how a book or movie will turn out before watching it. All in good fun.
I have lots of doubts that any of you on here are great people. In fact, I think you're all a bunch of blooming idiots, and I have to read EVERYTHING you write! :0

yeh i didnt or couldnt read the blogs until pretty recently so if its an old reference then i apologize for not knowing, its just when you ask a question and preface it like you did then i did take it personal as there are people on here like dennis and hit and alan who i consider "experts" and it sounded to me yu were calling them out. even when i called you on it you attacked me personally about spelling and health and so on and i just feel theres no place for that on here. i can stand up for myself and all i was doing was standing up for my fellow experts. if i was wrong then i apologize and i wont try to help again.

Had a run-in with cancer when I was younger. I'm still not old, but going through that as a kid isn't fun at all. I'm not saying it's fun at any age, but kids are a lot meaner than any adult I've ever met, including myself. It was addressed to no one you mentioned. Those are all people I make sure to read their posts when they write because I believe they all know what they are talking about and I don't see any of them really ever going after anyone unless provoked. I'm not saying I've never provoked anyone to spice things up a bit, but this wasn't one of those times.

Hi. Imagine my surprise when I decided to read the blog today and I see my name. I feel popular. I like that feeling. LOL. The 'casual hockey fan' comment is water under the bridge. It was posted, I asked what it meant (and I'll be honest I still am a little curious), but it is over and done with. I can honesty say that I enjoy reading what people write. I don't agree with everything, but I respect the fact that we can share our different opinions. Oh well, life goes on...hopefully we have anther great weekend of Komet games!!! LETS GO Ks!

Gee Dennis, I thought that was kind of up to you and the powers that be. On nights that Tim, Randy and Otto are taping, I could really only make it during the 3rd period. I'd be available at any time on February 3rd or 17th, though.
