Opening Arguments

Ok, everybody, off the planet!

Maybe it's been a slight exaggeration (very slight) when some of us have claimed that radical-environmentalist groups such as Earth First care far more for the planet than for its human inhabitants. It's not possible to exaggerate that sentiment for this group; its name, Voluntary Human Extinction Movement, pretty much says it all. Note that, while the VHE "is dedicated to phasing out the human race in the interest of the health of the Earth," its leader boasts that the group "likes kids and says many of its members are parents as well as children." I'm reminded of the John Denver song "Rocky Mountain High," in which the singer extols the virtues of the area that move him to live there, then laments the same sentiment among others -- "more people, more scars upon the land."

I'll tell you what, ... when all the good people of the VHE "voluntarily extinct" themselves, I will too. (Just like all the people who said they would move to Canada if Bush was re-elected did, ...)
