One violation too many

Well, finally:

The Obama administration is expanding a program initiated by President George W. Bush aimed at checking the immigration status of virtually every person booked into local jails. In four years, the measure could result in a tenfold increase in illegal immigrants who have been convicted of crimes and identified for deportation, current and former U.S. officials said.

So, let's summarize: By even being here, you break the law. So, if we find you in jail because you broke another law while here, we'll take it seriously and send you packing. Now, that should not be the least bit controversial. But we know it will be, don't we?

Odds are pretty good The Obambi Administration won't deport anybody after identifying them, he will however register them to vote. Can't be deporting all those future democrats you know.

As for employers who disregard immigration status of their hires or knowingly hire illegals, give them a felony conviction resulting in a fine plus mandatory jail time and bill them for the deportation costs.

Wait a minute, somehow that still doesn't seem controversial enough . . .
