Opening Arguments

Parting shot

Who wanted the auto bailout? The Deomcrats and George W. Bush.Who stopped it? Senate Republicans (or UAW members who drew a line on wage cuts, depending on how you see it). And now Bush will come to the rescue. In a statement by Press Secretary Dana Perino:

Under normal economic conditions we would prefer that markets determine the ultimate fate of private firms. However, given the current weakened state of the U.S. economy, we will consider other options if necessary - including use of the TARP program -- to prevent a collapse of troubled automakers.

Yeah, I worry about the Obama administration. But I will be sooo glad to see this one go.

Reminds me of the days when mom would come into your room and declare that "You'd best CLEAN UP THIS PIG STY, MISTER..."
And you'd reply:
"But Mom...I'm not done messing it all UP yet".

Leo ...

Mark this prediction up on your calendar for review after just six months of government control by Obama, the Dem legislative majorities and the drive-by media cheerleaders.

I will be back to say that dispensing with the traitor-Bush will have been even more expensive to the taxpayers and the American economy than the Bush inspired bailouts (and the missing stimulus thereof).

Sigh ...where is Newt when you need him?
