Plasma is forever

Dang. I knew if we just waited 'em out, those women would come to their senses:

NEW YORK (Reuters) - Diamonds are no longer a girl's best friend, according to a new U.S. study that found three of four women would prefer a new plasma TV to a diamond necklace.

The survey, commissioned by U.S. cable television's Oxygen Network that is owned and operated by women, found the technology gender gap has virtually closed with the majority of women snapping up new technology and using it easily.

Women were found on average to own 6.6 technology devices while men own 6.9, and four out of every five women felt comfortable using technology with 46 percent doing their own computer trouble-shooting.

Now, if we could just get them to come around on this one other little thing. Women, you see, just love to get flowers and things delivered to them at work on special days. Men hate that -- it embarrasses the heck out of them. So, men never think of sending stuff to women at work, which annoys them, but women are always sending stuff to men at work, which annoys them. So, ladies, if you'll just stop sending us stuff at work, we'll try to remember . . . well, wait a minute; I wouldn't want to overpromise here.

Leo, so that mean we "might", without too much friction from our spouse put forth a proposal to trade the engagement ring of twenty years ago in for a nice big 60 inch plasma?

Yeah, but there'd probably have to be some cooperative arrangement reached over use of the remote.

You are so right. The remote would be the sticking point as well as how much antique road show vs star trek/stargate will be allowed per week.
