Americans love the immigration plan, and they want Congress to get it passed, right now!
June 13 (Bloomberg) -- Most Americans back a guest-worker program and a proposal allowing illegal immigrants to become U.S. citizens that were part of legislation the Senate shelved last week after it failed to gain sufficient support.
A new Bloomberg/Los Angeles Times poll shows that at least a plurality of Americans favors the two most contentious provisions of the bill, the proposal to offer 12 million undocumented immigrants a path to citizenship and the program for temporary workers. Of a third provision -- a point system for immigrants based on professional qualifications -- many say they don't have enough information to have an opinion.
Americans hate the immigration plan, and want Congress to slow down a little!
Just 20% of American voters want Congress to try and pass the immigration reform bill that failed in the Senate last week. A Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey found that 51% would like their legislators to “take smaller steps towards reform” while 16% believe they should wait until next year. The survey was conducted on Monday and Tuesday night as the President was publicly attempting to rally support for the legislation.
Sixty-nine percent (69%) of voters would favor an approach that focuses exclusively on “exclusively on securing the border and reducing illegal immigration.” Support for the enforcement only approach comes from 84% of Republicans, 55% of Democrats and 69% of those not affiliated with either major party.
Pick your predisposition and design a poll to get the results you want. Or cite the one you want to reinforce the position you have. I would choose Rasmussen. Anyone who thinks the American people support this mess is delusional.

Everyone needs to get their eyes opened as to how massive the support is to stop any more border security and keep everything just like it is now.
The daughter and son-in-law of a neighbor couple, are make their living from illegal aliens. Both of them speak Spanish well and they deal in arranging car loans and insurance for aliens as well as doing paper work for various issues. They also arrange to have funds wired in from Mexico to their clients, which apparently requires some hoops to be jumped through.
From talking to the parents, I learned that the couple hosted a victory party last Sunday to celebrate the killing of the border bill.
I also learned that the couple, along with their employees and friends, have been calling radio talk shows and has been calling and emailing members of Congress to voice their opposition to the border bill. Money talks, and those who are making a living off illegals are working the hardest to defeat this bill.
There has to be hordes of people
The proposed Bill as it is written, does nothing. It is ull of loopholes and double talk.
The moment the bill is signed illegal's obtain legal status.There are no penalties for employing illegals. The 'touchback' feature is a joke. The bill gives no details of how they will enforce the interior of the Country, nor does it set ways to deal with those who come under 'guest worker'programs and refuse to leave when their time is up.
With this bill we will be doing this again in about 10 years.

It is AMNESTY for lawbeakers period.It gives them more benefits than citizens have.
The number of illegals this will grant Amnesty to, way exceeds what we are beinmg told, when asked for a cap on this number, McConnel Repub.-Ken. alsmost had a stroke.

Actually read the Bill Kennedy says we have to have.Look at how many times Kennedy has brought up Amnesty bills all which failed miserably.This is Ted Kennedy the apparent idiot of the Kennedy clan.
I keep this in the forefront of my mind, what about the legal children? What kind of a future are you advocating for them when you support this invasion of illegals and those who would give them your childrens futures?
