Matheiu Curadeau missed skating today with a lower leg injury, but said he'll be fine to play on Friday... Komets trainer Shawn Dundon and equipment managers Mark Bradtmueller and Andy Desmond had to scramble all weekend to make their equipment make weight for the air travel. They spent a lot of time switching things around to even out bags, and such, but somehow made it all work... The last time the Komets flKomets GM David Franke said he's not sure when help is coming from Springfield... He's also not sure what roster moves the team will make this week. Keith Rodger and David Cianfrini are eligible to come off IR...

agree with JM ... not to mention Varone was replaced by adding Mitch Woods ... that was worth it! ... NOT!!! -- I'd take 1 injurred Varone over a "he doesn't have his legs" Woods any day of the week!!
You're also very impartial :)
Because fans are always a 100 percent accurate source of information on how players really feel! :)P
My take on Varone was that year 1 he was an unknown coming off a year away from hockey, if memory serves me correctly, and flew under most teams radars... Year 2, he wasnt that unknown player anymore and couldnt put the bisquit in the basket with the added scrutiny he got from opposing teams... He got released and pouted.
I dont blame him one way or the other; but if your gonna talk garbage, you have to be able to deal with possible repercussions.
Agreed JR.
How accurate is FYC that everyone starts believing everything! ....I dont believe he would talk bad about FW...maybe upset for the reason he was released but here we are accepting Legs to be on IR every time he comes back here..but when a player has a bad year automatically they are classified as no good! hypocritical?
No one said he was no good. He was cut by the Komets. He was unhappy about it, and may of said to some Bloomington fans that he was mistreated here.
As far as FYC goes.....I will let Chaulker and JR set you straight on that one.
I don't want to go down my top 100 things reported on FYC that became true after local officials, announcers, media, IHL officials, and know-it-all loyalists to the Orange and Black....basically poo poo-ed the information, and was left to eat crow.
Kalamazoo did not leave the IHL by the way last I checked.
I am pretty sure according to the IHL and our Play by Play guy that Muskegon plays at Kalamazoo tonight in the IHL game of the week....
LMAO
And I could come up with twice as many that they got completely wrong such as Mac fighting Woods in practice, Mac having a broken collarbone last year, etc. etc etc. Difference is when some anonymous poster gets them wrong, there are absolutely no consequences and everyone forgets who posted what. When the media does it, we just lose our jobs.
I don't believe anyone said anything about Varone, the guys been around though, I think the player speaks for himself w/ his actions. Same goes for Versteeg-Lytwen (sp).
Are there seriously any non-ex-komets that could play for us? Call 'em up from the SPHL, this team doesn't look like it could score. Maybe we could wait for the KHL cuts, that would work out well.
FYC has decent people on it, including Hit, I don't think anyone "out" to get anyone, if they are, they don't last long and are pretty obvious, but like Blake said, if a reporter reports it, he's gone.
I wish the MC was half filled like the Mallards, that way I could get more seat for my money.
Mac fighting woods was floated on Cohn's blog, not FYC.
200 things FYC has gotten comepletely wrong? Really? Gonna have to call you on that one Blake...
Didn't Mac's collarbone come from Hit?
The collarbone came from Komet Personel leaving the locker-room in between periods during the intermission after Brad was hurt. Numerous Fans were talking about in the stands after the intermission that they were told it was his collarbone.
I am not saying it was or wasn't......but the story was not made up.....it was coming from the lower level behind the lockeroom doors.
But that is water under the bridge.
I think you get my point about info on FYC.....and I get your point regarding the media not able to just run with stories that they hear.
But Savage makes a living at it....LOL kidding of course.
Hate to see everyone jumping on the 'ditch the grey beards bandwagon.' There is a wealth of experience and leadership there. In my humble opinion, those qualities offset the lack of 20-yr old legs. Wish people would look at the scoring and assist stats when they criticize the "grey beards." Don't get me wrong, I love our "young" line, but stats are stats.
