Shouts and whispers

So, are you willing to pay $9.95 to see the seance at which it was claimed the spirit of John Lennon was reached? I'll think I'll let John answer for me: Imagine there's no heaven/It's easy if you try/No hell below us/Above us only sky.

I have to admit, though, that I'm one of those audience members who have sought out "Medium" and "Ghost Whisperer," but it's because I would like to believe there's more beyond this life, not because I believe hucksters who say say they've found the proof no one else has found for thousands of years. "Ghost Whisperer" is the much better show, by the way. "Medium" follows the tried and true formula of having other people resist/fear the special person's powers; half of each show is spent on her husband give her a hard time for the disrputions in his life, poor thing; it gets annoying as (no) hell (below us). In "Ghost Whisperer," the heroine's husband and best friend both accept her talent and support her, which leaves a lot more time to deal with the main point of the series.
