A sign that the end times are near

There are less than three weeks to go, so this may end up being my favorite story of the year:

A pair of gay penguins thrown out of their zoo colony for repeatedly stealing eggs have been given some of their own to look after following a protest by animal rights groups.

Last month the birds were segregated after they were caught  placing stones at the feet of parents before waddling away with their eggs.

But angry visitors to Polar Land in Harbin, northern China, complained it wasn't fair to stop the couple from becoming surrogate fathers and urged zoo bosses to give them a chance.

In response, zookeepers gave the pair two eggs laid by an inexperienced first-time mother.

'We decided to give them two eggs from another couple whose hatching ability had been poor and they've turned out to be the best parents in the whole zoo,' said one of the keepers.

Had to happen eventually, didn't it? Animal rights meet gay rights, and the world will never be the same. Think about this story for a minute, and pretend it's humans we're talking about. A couple is desperate to be parents but can't be, so they steal babies from someone else. They are therefore removed from society, but after protests, get rewarded by being given the babies of someone not deemed to be fit parents.

Oh, those wacky communist Chinese...trying to be all "westernized" and stuff.

When will they learn?
...cheeky monkeys!
(or is it cheeky penguins?)
PETA meet NAMBLA...NAMBLA, PETA.

My guess is they are nowhere near that tolerant of their citizenry, when it comes to homosexuality. China doesn't strike me as a "sexually liberal" country, ya know?

Sure they think the Penguins are cute, but I'll bet they just shoot the humans that are gay.
