Opening Arguments

Skeered yet, Hillary?

Joe Biden is running for president -- Yes, I am! Yes, I am! How can you doubt me? -- which is sure to send shock waves of delight through the lethargic voting populace. And he comes up with a brilliant strategy for getting the millions of votes from people who would rather have an overreaching government than a place to buy things at reasonable prices:

On Wednesday, Biden headlined a news conference for a movement called Wake Up Wal-Mart.

"My problem is that I don't see any indication they care about the fate of middle-class people," Biden said.

Why Wal-Mart? Biden said it's because the retailer is the biggest.

I love this detail at the end of the story: "NewsChannel 8 asked Biden if he has ever shopped at a Wal-Mart. He said he has shopped there a couple of years ago. He recalled buying a wheelbarrow and has not been back since." I have a couple of ideas on what Biden might have needed a wheelbarrow for, but go ahead and do your own joke.

I don't think Biden has a chance in hell of winning the nomination...

You are correct Jeff, he will never get the nomination. Even if he did, he would miss the announcement because he wouldn't be able to HEAR it while flapping his gums incessantly about something ridiculous. (like the story above)

He is a classic opportunist that jumps on any bandwagon if a microphone is near.

Oh, and then there's always that pesky plagiarism baggage he carries too.

And another thing.....For all the democrats out there without a calculator, allow me to enlighten all of you AND Mr. Biden about the Walmart/Health Insurance debate. They claim it cost taxpayers 1.2 billion dollars a year for walmart associates using state sponsored healthcare instead of walmart providing it.

Even if that were true,(which it isn't) would the solution be to force Walmart to provide health insurance? Of course not and here's why.(this is the rocket science part) When an employers costs go up, they in turn must raise their prices to maintain the same margin. In other words, It will cost ALL of us a hell of a lot more should they get their wish.

I wish to hell the "limosine liberals" would leave the market place alone and quit trying to make a few lives better by making everyone elses life worse.
