We will now observe one minute of silence in memory of the demise of the gentler sex:

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - Metro police are looking for a group of women suspected of participating in a robbery ring targeting older women. They already have one woman in custody and have identified another they are searching for.

[. . .]

They see an elderly female with a purse and they follow them home from the location," Lt. Roehrig explained.

In one case, investigators said one of their victim's suffered a heart attack after being robbed. And in another case, in an east side Aldi parking lot, police say an 87-year-old was run over by the suspects as they fled.

Police are investigating at least six cases. They said there may be more victims.

How do people become so divorced from normal, acceptable behavior? Maybe the older women should band together. Of course, that could lead to a different sort of problem.

"Normal, acceptable behavior" prevails only where the thin crust of civility isn't damaged by underlying cultural seismic disturbances.

Of course, according to Martha Stout, Phd,
1 in 25 people lacks any sense of empathy whatsoever and will do anything to get what they want:

The trick is to identify them and to keep them away from the rest of us.

Leo:
People become divorced from normal behavior when something called "tolerance" becomes the reigning aspect OF ALL behavior.

Michael:
VERY well said. You "get it".

Why do we wonder at such female actions? after all 50,000,000 have lost their lives in our country at the hands of mothers!
