Trying times

Today's quiz: What is wrong with this advice from Gov. Daniels, from his TV ad urging Hoosiers to live healthy liefestyles?

And if you can, try to quit smoking.

If no one has the answer, I'll give it tomorrow.

Well, aside from the obvious SMOKING bans that are damn near everywhere, I can't think of a "good" answer.

Not that living where I do encourages a healthy lifestyle anyway (in an unhealthy neighborhood).

Lemme puff on a stogie & get back to 'ya.

Aside from losing cigarette tax revenue for the state... isn't this the commercial about losing weight or something?

Most people gain weight when they stop smoking.

Um... and if you can't at least try, then I guess you'll just have to keep smoking.

CED got it. The governor meant to say, "If you can, quit smoking." Anybody can TRY anything.
