You know the president's $100 million in budget cuts was a silly, insulting-our-intelligence move when even The Associated Press piles on:
Cut a latte or two out of your annual budget and you've just done as much belt-tightening as President Barack Obama asked of his Cabinet on Monday.
The thrifty measures Obama ordered for federal agencies are the equivalent of asking a family that spends $60,000 in a year to save $6.
And here, from the Heritage Foundation, is a nice graphic how those cuts stack up against some other numbers:

More smoke.
More mirrors.
Doesn't remind me at all of the FUN HOUSE at the carnival in days past, does it?
;)
What makes it even funnier is, most of those "savings" will be only in the form of NOT increasing the budget. Politician speak only. They call it "cutting" heh heh heh...
They won't be cutting stuff FROM the existing budget, they will be cutting stuff from the proposed annual INCREASE in budget.
Lyin' sacks.
I think the Heritage Foundation stole that graphic from the Chicago Planetarium's website showing comparative sizes of the planets vs. our sun. The little black dot at the top is Mercury, right?
