What corruption?

It's nice that Indiana House and Senate leaders finally seem to be serious about ethics reform, but House Speaker Pat Bauer has to go and spoil the moment with a statement so absurd that at first it seems like an attempt at surrealist humor:

"I do not believe there is one corrupt legislator in the state of Indiana," Bauer said after a committee voted 10-0 to approve the ethics bill he authored. "I don't know of any corrupt lobbyist, and I'll let the governor speak for himself, but I actually think he is not a corrupt governor. This is not based on corruption; this is based on a little more confidence in the process."

Not one, Pat, not a single, solitary one? And I'm sure the governor is grateful for your support in saying you "actually" think he's not corrupt.

If Bauer were serious, he'd start with the skull-rug he's been sportin'...LOL!
Talk about an UN-ethical persona...yikes.

No indiana legislature votes in regard to his/her constituates. For example Sauder on stimulus, Fort Wayne government on rennisance square, and baseball stadium. None of our poloticians are looking out for the people who elected them, just there and there friends in big buisness pockets. It seems every issue that the people are against becomes run down our throats with persuasive and devious tactics to soften the blow to the people who overwhelmingly disapprove with the decision. Indiana is the biggest joke and it seems like most are sheep to the slaughter.
