I wouldn't be surprised if you double the number of commuters on such a heavily-traveled corridor on the northeast, the gasoline and energy savings would pay for the project themselves. The 15 minutes shaved off a commute is just an added benefit. This is a wise investment in a project that is expected to take EIGHT years to build.
