This is what people turn to when they're desperate. Being behind the 8 ball makes people go in to desperation mode and it looks like a lot of people are there.

Have to take the win! Play a clean, hard game, but don't take any crap. Retaliation and dropping the mits will only land us in the box and make the game more difficult for us. We need to play with the intensity like that of the triple OT Game 7 against PH for the cup. PH was pulling so much stuff behind the play, we just played hard and won. Winning is all that matters.

Hey Fro...just in case you didn't see my post on the other thread...here's some proof that the officials ARE in the room with the Rush...best to get your facts straight before spouting off.

All I can say is it must be tough to be behind the 8 eight and facing elimination.

When your franchise gets out of its infancy stage, you'll face some elimination games as well.....

They're fun to watch...adds some zest to the game....

Winning is the only thing.

Retribution is pretty empty if you get eliminated. If you want to "hurt" them, then play a hard, in your face, aggressive style of hockey.

Prove you can beat them. Take the series back to Rapid City. Make them think about elimination.

The Komets are already playing a man short for the rest of the series. They can't afford another suspension if the series does, indeed, go another game.

Fro...Didn't figure that you would have much to say about it since your arguement just went up in smoke.

Yeah, it is tough facing elimination, but it's not the first time the K's have been up against elimination in the past 60 years...surely won't be the last. Just keep in mind that 3...yes, 3 time we have stared elimination in the face and laughed after being down by 2 games in the series.

Frodawg, JR1 is correct. We are here all year long.

Frodawg, your passion and loyalty for the Rush is commendable. I tend to agree with you about just getting on with the games and let the players settle it on the ice. I'm pretty sure that if the shoe was on the other foot, Komet fans would be saying what you're saying, and Rush fans would be saying what the K's fans are saying. It's just a part of the "hockey world" for fans.

Fort Wayne Komet hockey is in its 59th season. We've seen an awful lot. Nothing surprises us too much anymore.

I think our management came into this year unprepared. Not because of skill and speed ( I don't think I've seen a CHL team this year that I went, Wow!, there's no way the K's can compete with them). Quite the contrary.

The smaller salary cap, the vet rule, the "funny" exceptions to the cap, the difference in officiating from the UHL/ IHL, and a loyalty to some Komet players decided the fate of the K's before a single puck was dropped. This season has been a constant turnover of roster spots and that surely isn't what any team strives to do when putting their team together.

So, it is what it is.

Lets play the game and see what happens. I'm not sure what the result will be because I have no idea which Komet team will show up. That has been a large part of the problem all year long.

I am sure that many of the Fort Wayne players will not be here next year and could be playing their last game in a Komet uniform. Next year will be significantly different as no Komet will be immune to the ax.

I Personally Would Like 2 c a fight-filled, old school, barn-burner of a hockey game 2nite, with the Komets winning 3-2 with less than a minute in2 OT.

WIN WIN WIN.....

then we can punch Colt King in the pace. Les Reaney too.

I'm SOOOO mad at myself that I did not paint that on my car last ni8ght like I was gonna do. I debated between painting "Open Season", "Punch Colt King", or "Hit Somebody for OC". In the end since I could not decide before midnight, I just went to bed and got up too late this morning to do any of them. :(

I have Friday afternoon off, though....will have lots of time to paint the car then. I'll have to take ideas for the car window slogan for that night.
