NHL Steve? Kevin is on the Late NHL Game on Saturday nights from Western Canada on CBC. He does a good job. Notice that a lot of former goaltenders are involved in broadcasting. Their perspective of the game is usually spot on.
Pang, Hrudey,Millen,Healy,Kevin,Davidson before he took over the Blues.

I had wondered about the goalie question, too. Initially I just thought the goalie who was in net the longest got credit for the game, but then I realized that wasn't always the case. The one who gave up the game winning goal getting the loss would make perfect sense if that's right.

Way to go Komets. Just woke up and saw they won. Anyway as far as the Mudbug name Hoss I had never heard that slang before. Being from Indiana I don't know a whole lot about bayou slang words. Thanks for the info.

The goalie in the nets when the winning goal is scored gets the decision. If the starter tweaks a knee 30 seconds into the game and gives up a goal and comes out. He gets the loss if that game ends 1-0, even though the other guy played 59:30.
Go back to Dec. 29 and the Komets 7-5 win over
Mississippi. Komets were up 5-1 after two and Miss. brought in LARRY. Miss then staged a rally back to 5-4 before the Komets scored on Larry to make it 6-4. When Miss then scored again, it made the sixth goal the game-winner. Since that was scored against Sterling, he took the loss.

More fun, is the freak situation where the winner ends up being an empty-netter.

Mike- Yes, NHL.... and I'm not even thinking that much about the Super Bowl.
I don't know if you're aware of it Mike but Kevin played here for a short stint, really nice guy.
Darren Pang - I remember when he played for Saginaw, I saw him catch a ripper of a slap shot square in the chest. It looked like it knocked him off his feet, he caught the puck and went straight down. Probably just a slip but because of his size it looked funny. I like him as an announcer.

Let's celebrate a great win for the Komets--awesome! This should get them pumped for a few more games.

Steve, I did know that Kevin had been in Fort Wayne. I can't throw rocks from a glass house but Panger had to jump to get his head over the crossbar didn't he?
