Opening Arguments

You be poor, I'll take rich

Another silly survey, this one trying to spread the myth that money doesn't buy happiness:

Although most people imagine that if they had more money they could do more fun things and perhaps be happier, the reality seems to be that those with higher incomes tend to be tenser, and spend less time on simple leisurely activities.

Notice that they surveyed people with incomes, i.e. those of us who work for our money, and found, not shockingly, that people get so caught up in making the money that they don't have time to actually spend the money. But what about just having money? I don't know about you, but I'd rather have it than not have it. Money might not buy happiness, but it makes being miserable a lot more enjoyable.

Yeah, the people I drag into court and hassle about unpaid medical bills don't seem particularly happy with life.

As someone once said - money may not buy happiness, but it sure does a good job of renting it, ...

Money: Better to HAVE it and not NEED it...Then to NEED it and not HAVE it!
(kinda like owning a gun...lol)

Or as I like to say:
"C'Mon Lord...let me SHOW you that having ALL that money will NOT spoil me".
