When the two "sculptures" were first installed at the site of the art museum, I savaged them in editorials and columns as examples of what wanna-be sophisticates in a small city would put up with in order to think of themselves as worldly. But, I swear, those efforts are works of staggering genius compared to this piece of garbage, which, believe it or not, sold at auction for almost $24 million. I think I might have been too hard on the local avant-gardes.
