Peyton pick

Really? They'll trade their good quarterback at the very beginning of his career so they can get someone with only two or three good years left?

Peyton Manning will become the next quarterback of the Denver Broncos, barring a snag during intensified contract negotiations that have commenced under the instruction of the four-time MVP to his agent Tom Condon, according to multiple sources.

Once the Manning deal becomes official, Denver will try to trade Tim Tebow, according to sources.

I was guessing Tennessee. My sports predictions are as good as my political ones. I should have been paying more attention to the experts:

Peyton Manning has been used to dominating the AFC South.

Now that he has agreed to join the Denver Broncos, he can take control of the AFC West. With Hall of Famer John Elway guiding Manning through his mid-30s, they can work together to keep the Broncos ahead of the Chargers, Chiefs and Raiders.

[. . .]

Fans love Tebow, but he could only take the Broncos to a certain level. Manning can take the Broncos a mile higher.

Anybody out there gonna start watching the Broncos just to see Manning play, or are you all gonna stay with the Colts (or Bears or Lions)? Oh, I know, most of you are too serious to care about sports, but you have to indulge me once in a while.

I could have watched Walter Payton play anywhere.

I watched Joe Montana play everywhere.

Peyton Manning will be fun to watch.  I wish the best for him.

Tebow is impressively athletic and fast on his feet. On the  other hand, he can't throw a pass. I'll predict he'll never amount to anything in the NFL unless he agrees to change positions. He's a very solid 245. Why not make him a blocking back or even a linebacker? I suspect he'll be selling life insurance in a couple of years. Scrambling QBs are fine in college; they rarely succeed in the pros.
