Opening Arguments

Is that a threat?

Seriously?

President Obama says he would like to establish a "secretary of Business" if he wins a second term.

In an interview with MSNBC, the president said he wants to consolidate a number of business and trade-related agencies, creating a "one-stop shop" for oversight.

Government is already too involved in the nation's private sector, and he thinks the answer is another bloated bureaucracy to mess with it even more? This is is positively deranged. Bonus question from The Corner: Who would be appointed SOB?

Why not put those agencies under the leadership of the Secretary of Commerce?  Or is there some difference between business and commerce that I'm missing?

Hell, they could add a secretary of Farming, and reinstitute the Secretary of War while they are at it.

Just think!  Another bureaucracy to impair economic growht with more regulation and more government spending and control.  This proposal alone should get the Hopeless Changeling fired.
