A sad goodbye

Damn. The crusade for fiscal restraint is tough enough without losing one ot its fiercest warriors:

Oklahoma Sen. Tom Coburn confirmed Thursday night that he will not serve out his full Senate term and intends to step down after 2014 because of deepening health problems.
Coburn went to Washington as part of that 1994 Republican revolution some of us had such high hopes for, and he was one of the few who stuck in out as a deficit and debt hawk. We've spent too much time recently worrying about whether the GOP can take over the Senate and not enough time thiunking about what kind of Republicans are elected. Many more like Cobrun, please.
