Holy Moly, a Stinkburger

Wod. Did the temperature in hell just drop dramatically? Barack Obama and Sarah Palin are in complete agreement on something. Via The Corner, Here's Obama on the GOP budget:

The president paid a visit to Zingerman’s Deli in Ann Arbor, Mich., today as part of his push to increase the minimum wage.

Zingerman’s he says, pays its employees “fair wages.” Whether they’re fair enough to afford the lunch the president had isn’t clear: He ordered a small Reuben for $13.99; larges go for nearly $17.

[. . .]

“If they tried to this sell [Paul Ryan's budget] at Zingerman’s, they’d have to call it the ’stinkburger’ or the ‘meanwich,’” he said.

And here's Palin:

Holy Moly! Are you kidding? ... the latest Ryan (R, Wisconsin) Budget is not an April Fool’s joke. But it really IS a joke because it is STILL not seeing the problem; it STILL is not proposing reining in wasteful government overspending TODAY, instead of speculating years out that some future Congress and White House may possibly, hopefully, eh-who-knows, take responsibility for today’s budgetary selfishness and shortsightedness to do so. THIS is the definition of insanity. Do we still not understand how dangerous it is to allow government to grow unchecked as we shackle ourselves with massive debt – a good portion of which is held by foreign nations who don’t necessarily like us?

Of course, they will agree to disagree when it comes to the reason they don't like the proposed budget. Apparently, it can overspend wildly and still starve widows and orphans.

Which do you like better as soaring rhetoric, "Holy Moly" or "Stinkburger"? Heh:

Gabe Malor’s challenging O-bots to quote a single memorable line from our modern Pericles’s speeches. I fear that’s the wrong question to ask right now. The stinkburger line, in its own dopey way, is memorable — way more so than O’s usual clunky attempts at soaring lyricism — and reminding him of that might give him ideas. This is not a guy, after all, who’s above acting like a moron if it helps him politically.
