Black beat the White 2-1. Dan LaPointe and Stephon Thorne had the goals for the black, and Kaleigh Schrock for the white. LaPointe split the defensemen and went in one on nobody to beat Nick Boucher. Thorne had a wicked wrist shot top shelf that there was nothing Boucher could do. Schrock put in a rebound of a Brandon Warner shot... The black is killing the white because their defensemen are moving the puck so well. Both Molles, Starenky and Jamie Milam look fantastic. They get the puck and move it right away... The white defensemen are stuggling terribly, particularly Warner and Hotte and the black forwards are forechecking them like crazy... Bobby Chaumont played on the white team today and they switched the goaltenders... Llewellyn shows flashes, but has not been consistent... Jesse Bennefield said he's hoping to play this weekend... Rizk and Yngwe are the real deal. Both are big, can skate and are always around the front of the net... The first 15 minutes were played without a whistle today and everybody seemed fine keeping up the tremendous pace. The last 20 minutes were probably slower because of that, but they were still moving pretty good... No news on a potential third goalie, which they won't really need after Thursday anyway... Al Sims said they've gotten calls from agents on other players, but so far they are happy with what they have... He plans on playing mostly rookies and younger players Friday in Dayton and more veterans Sunday in Fort Wayne... They'll probably make cuts Saturday morning and Monday morning... Haven't noticed Brett Smith or Chris Auger doing much yet, but as I said yesterday, might be because I'm looking through the camera lens... LaPointe has looked pretty good both days.
