OK, show of hands: Who didn't see this coming?
Changes to Indianapolis' alcohol laws will allow thousands of Super Bowl partiers to enjoy the game on the streets.
The biggest change is that retail permit holders will be able to sell alcohol on Super Bowl Sunday and the Sunday prior, within the downtown Super Bowl zone. Restaurants and vendors with permits will now be able to serve alcohol inside and outside their establishments and party tents, allowing customers to roam freely with their beverages in the Super Bowl zone each day from 7 a.m. until 3 a.m. the next morning.
Hurry, hurry, get the smoking ban in by Super Bowl time! And toughen up those prostitution laws! And hide the homeless! But, hey, drink up, boys and girls! Those of who who enjoy a good belt of booze and a satisfying smoke after a session with a hooker, oh, well. One out of three ain't bad.
