Strange bedfellows

I can't decide which one of these is funnier (both strange and ha-ha meanings):

Howard Dean, explaining to the Christian Broadcasting Network

. . . that his party has a lot in common with the evangelical community. With the 2006 midterm elections creeping closer, CBN News sat down with Dean to discuss the Democrat's new outreach to conservative Christians.

Dean said that "one of the misconceptions about the Democratic Party is that we're godless and that we don't have any values."

Or Rupert Murdoch defending his decision

. . . to host a political fundraiser for Sen. Hillary Clinton later this year.

[. . . ]

“We think that she's been effective on state issues and local issues here in a

New York

. She's been an effective and good senator. . ."

Next thing you know, George Bush will be cozying up to Teddy Kennedy for a federal takeover of the nation's education system. Oh, wait. That already happened.
