Much like the CHL, the ECHL requires a team to ask for a review of a minor penalty by 12 p.m. the next day, and the Komets did not do that. There is also a $100 fee for such a request which is rescinded if the appeal results in a fine or suspension for the opposing player. Any penalty for a major, match or game misconduct is automatically reviewed.
