I already have this roll-up keyboard I got from Sharper Image, and it cost just $50. I can't have a guitar or piano stashed everyplace I go, and I don't really want to lug one around. So I just toss the keyboard in my suitcase. Pull it out and unroll it, and I'm good to go. It's not something you'd want to try to entertain anybody with, but it's perfect for musical noodling.
Imagine the day, not too far off, when our computer will be in our pocket, or maybe worn around the wrist. The monitor will be like a pair of glasses we put on, and we'll see the screen in front of us, wherever we go. Those way-too-cool video iPods that millions and millions are being spent on now? Transitional.
