Ben Meisner of the Fort Wayne Komets is the CCMECHL Goaltender of the Week for the week of Feb. 17-23.
Meisner went 2-0-0 with a 1.92 goals-against average and a save percentage of .931 in two appearances last week.
The 23-year-old made 22 saves, and stopped all four shootout attempts, in a 4-3 shootout win at Florida on Friday and stopped 32 shots in a 3-1 victory against the Everblades on Saturday.
A native of Halifax, Nova Scotia, Meisner has won his last four starts, and is 9-2-2 since joining the Komets in a trade with Utah on Dec. 26. Overall this season in 26 games he is 11-10-2 with two shutouts and ranks eighth in the ECHL with a 2.41 goals-against average and is 12th with a .914 save percentage.
Meisner made his pro debut with Utah last season, posting a 3-1-4 record in eight regular-season games with a 2.63 goals-against average and a .919 save percentage. Prior to turning pro, he played four seasons at America International College appearing in 114 games.
