The kids are all right

Let's end the week with happy thoughts for the next generation.

A second-grader in Louisiana wrote a complaiing note to the first lady:

Thank you for trying to make my school lunch better, but you have ruined Taco Tuesday. Please bring back the old taco shell. I miss them. Also, the pizza is terrible. If you would like to try the new tacos, I will buy you lunch.

And children and their parents in Washington D.C. ain't a gonna take no stinkin' ban:

From sledding to snowball fights, dozens of children and their parents took to Capitol Hill Thursday afternoon to protest a controversial sledding ban.

Capitol Police have refused to lift the sledding ban, but some parents organized a “sled in” on the west lawn of the Capitol to put a spotlight on the unpopular rule.

The snow day provided ample opportunity for the children and their parents to challenge the sledding ban.

Alas, the second-grader has caved under pressure. The first lady sent him a note saying he woulda adjust in time and enclosing a picture of the family dogs (fighting dirty!). The lad's mother said he was "excited" to get a response from Mrs. Obama and that he is now willing to stomach the bad tacos. He will undoubtedly end up a congressional Republican. Hope the sledding outlaws hang tough, maybe start their own tea (tormented enough already) party.
