Great news for northeast Indiana. It looks like Fort Wayne's David Long is going to be the next president pro tem of the state Senate:
If he is the choice to lead the Senate, Long said he credits that to building relationships with senators over the past 10 years and proving himself able to "make decisions calmly in the face of pressure."He said that, if chosen, he would continue the Senate's history of decorum. Any discussion of changes will have to come after Wednesday's caucus meeting, he said, but added that one change he would hope to bring is to give senators more opportunity to collaborate and have input on decisions.
